Summary:

Lasko Basnarkov is born in Kavadarci in 1977. He finished his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Skopje in 2000. In 2005 he obtained a master degree and in 2009 a PhD in theoretical physics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje. His first position as teaching assistant in physics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering he obtained in 2002. Lasko Basnarkov joined the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in September 2011 as assistant professor in physics.

Lasko Basnarkov is generally interested in nonlinear dynamics and statistical physics. He has studied in more detail problems in deterministic and stochastic diffusion and synchronization of phase oscillators. Currently his focus of research is implementation of synchronization for climate modeling and modeling financial time series. He uses mathematical analysis and computer simulations as tools for his research.
